Scroll Vacuum Pump

Welch® SCSpro 15 Featuring a Self-Cleaning Air Flush and Completely Oil-Free Operation

At Welch, we are driven by unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence. This is why we are thrilled to introduce the Welch SCSpro 15 dry scroll vacuum pump.  Welch SCSpro 15 has a built-in self-cleaning air flush that removes that vapors that make it past an in-line cold trap and condense inside the pump.  The air flush doesn’t impact the ultimate vacuum or pumping speed of the SCSpro 15.

In applications where a vacuum pump is connected to a sealed container, chamber, or a system with an in-line cold trap, gases or vapors can condense into a liquid state inside of the pump. These vapors must be flushed out to prevent contamination and ensure peak efficiency. The self-cleaning air flush is there to protect your system against damage and disruptions from liquefied vapors. You don’t have to worry about your pump’s vacuum performance, it remains unaffected by the air flush function.

OIL-FREE DEEP VACUUM

Welch SCSpro 15 dry scroll vacuum pump generates a maximum pumping speed of 280 lpm @60Hz and vacuum up to 0.012 Torr (0.016 mbar). This allows users to obtain flow rates and ultimate vacuum levels that match those of oil-sealed rotary vane pumps, without the hassle of oil changes or the possibility of back streaming.

Stay Tuned!

The SCSpro 15 dry scroll vacuum pump is just the first of a series of scroll pump products to be released in the future. With this new addition, we're on the path to building a complete scroll portfolio to cater to a wide range of applications and provide comprehensive solutions for our customers.

Scroll Technology Explained

At its core, this two-sided technology relies on a spiral-shaped, tip-sealed mechanism that enables contact between precisely engineered scrolls. The oil-free scroll pump generates vacuum by continuously moving pockets of captured gas that enter the pump inlet to the exhaust port via two-sided spiral mechanism. The scroll pump is an alternate solution to oil-sealed rotary vane pumps.

Key Benefits of Welch’s dry scroll pump:

  • OIL-FREE DEEP VACUUM FOR CLEAN OPERATIONS AND EASIER MAINTENANCE
  • SELF-CLEANING FUNCTION DURING OPERATION WITHOUT IMPACTING VACUUM
  • CONTINUOUS OPERATION BETWEEN ULTIMATE VACUUM PRESSURE AND ATMOSPHERIC
  • ROBUST DUAL VOLTAGE/FREQUENCY MOTOR
  • INTEGRATED HOUR METER FOR ACCURATE SERVICING
  • BUILT-IN HANDLE FOR EASY TRANSPORT
  • MODULAR DESIGN ALLOWS FAST, EASY SERVICING

Common Applications

Scroll pumps serve as the backbone for creating and maintaining the essential vacuum conditions in various applications, including freeze dryers with ultra-low temperature condensers (-80° or lower), glove boxes, vacuum ovens with cold traps, turbo backing, and cryogenic line evacuation.

The Efficiency of Your Process is Our Top Priority

Welch SCSpro 15 features a built-in self-cleaning air flush that removes the liquefied vapors which have passed through the in-line cold trap that can condense in a pump from vacuum applications.
